I was not appalled. When a man is drowning they flail just like it says in the book. Running on the spot and arms swinging. And they go straight down. (I was a lifeguard, this actually happens.)

Of course he had lunch with Brault. They discussed the weather as politicians always do. They almost never talk politics in case there is a scandal. Martin is true to form. All that remains is for the frost to set in. All Harper has to do is not make many mistakes.

The question is do we want many more years of this kind of arrogance and money waste? Do we want to get a government that will at least try to cut the fat? Do the liberals have magic solutions with regard to Quebec indepence or will that solve itself? Right now it appears that the liberals have no hold on PQ. It elects the Bloque right now. That seems to represent the perennial demands for power that come from that province. Isolated as they have made themselves they seem to have the illusion that they are getting the raw end. Hardly in fact. Tell that to AB and Newoundland. The Federales are a province unto themselves and at any rate PQ is not getting robbed. If anything it is a bit the reverse. Provincially at least it seems all the provinces talk a different language than they do Federally.
