I rather suspect MSFT keeps a close eye on market share regardless of what Apple says in their conference calls. And I think all players involved know market share is the crux of the matter.

It's interesting. A few years back Bill Gates called Apple and its Macs irrelevant. He hasn't repeated that for quite a long time.

I noticed recently a Microsoft spokesperson said they didn't detect a change in market share. Is that damning with obtuse observations, like Don? The switching is small so far, but it's accelerating.
