College Buddy of mine in houston in the oil industry in the 70s had bought a house for 100k and it fell to 40k. He lost his job and couldnt afford the mortgage. (They were high back then if you remember.) But he needed a place to live so as he defaulted on his home. His father in law bought it from the bank after they foreclosed for 20 or 25k. My friend moved his furniture out into storage and then moved back a month or two later. What a country. Mike
