Shades, Ten or twenty years ago it was like that and still is out in the countryside but the big cities have malls and mega stores that are fantastic, much nicer than almost anything here. It think it works like this; the Philippines is a poor place and Filipinos are real tight with their money so mall operators over there have to work alot harder to seperate the people from their money. Here, as you well know stupid Americans will stick out their credit card no matter how how bad a dump the store is. We've been married 15 years with two kids and no bad problems. As for good looking gals, the place is full of them. Just fly over to Cebu and look around. Slagle

Women have survival instincts as we men do. They will use any weapons to get what they want. A man could, in some cases; be used as passport to get out of their country. Once outside they execute the script they planned. Of course, most people would tell me that people are not that cynical, cold calculist. Which I agree. But I would say 80% are as I describe and 20% are in for other reasons. This conclusions are based on a 22 years of expat life meeting people from all over the world. Eastern Europeans, South East Asians and Latin Americans (have to add one Egyptian too) who went to other countries. The best course of action for any men entertaining the idea of going for a foreign lady is to go and settle wher she lives and not bring her to where he lives. Imigrate to Thailand, Brazil, Indonesia, Czech Republic and settle with the woman you like there. Oh by the way the food is better too!
