you seem childish when you take general points like the fact that this market is bad and project some kind of personal attack.

When Carter was president, some people made money like my dad. Didn't change the fact that the economy was bad and Carter was blamed.

I don't believe this is a selective market. That's stock and mutual fund sector hype. I made 28% in 2003 and 10% in 2004, and I have a very well diversified portfolio. I think I'll make another 5-10% this year too. I just don't buy into that selective market stuff.

The smartest investors stay well diversified and reduce BOTH stock risk and portfolio risk. Timing stocks or timing sectors is just gambling.
