Without an investment in new innovation at the university level in this country, yes.

Without our RND matching other companies as a % of GDP, yes.

I don't know why this point is so hard for people to understand. There is a bigger point to be seen here, that you are indeed making.

I don't think it is a white vs. blue collar thing. I think it is: Americans will need a good wage to keep up their spending habits - habits, that the US economy is based upon. The US economy (not merely some US companies) is what determines the WS & Nasdaq market trends.

A negative budget and balance of trade hurts the dollar, which is ALSO bad for Nas & WS.

It's not as simple as white collar wage - Nasdaq. But falling average salaries in the US (because of falling wages OR increased unemployment) IS bad for the economy = bad for the market.
