OT, RE: energy prices

While I don't see a whole lot of short term relief in gasoline pricing due to serious capacity issues in refining, as far as crude and natural gas is concerned, I think we've seen the worst. Demand in China is slowing, finally, and inventories are building here. Also, the rig count is hitting levels we haven't seen since the late 70's/early 80's.

Note that the majority of people in the energy industry don't agree with this assessment. The majority think we're in for a pretty long time of high prices. I tend to think, though, that in any industry insiders have a difficult time seeing inflection points, particularly peaks, and energy is no different.
