I'm going to join you and Glenn and start a search for my ancestry. I'm fortunate that a great Aunt did allot before she died and I have some copies of her work.....not all though, I fear.....so I have some place to start. I would suggest that we direct any questions to the one of the resident genealogy experts on SI KLP, if need be. She's been doing genealogy for years and really knows her stuff. I have ventured a bit into the study, but I have a long ways to go. I do know I qualify to join the DAR and now need to do all of my paper work and send for a few marriage and death certificates. It makes me proud to know my ancestors fought for our nation. And I want to try to go back as far as possible. I have an extremely common maiden name, so it won't be easy..........but who said life is easy. M
