It is obvious, in hindsight, that this information was available to some people prior to this press release. My question is: why did it take 2 weeks to release this? My answer is that it allowed many people to exit the stock before this news was officially released.

To be honest, I think this situation stinks to high heaven! Last trade at $1.40 in after hours.

Something doesn't compute. It is common for additional discounting of increased volumes but it must have bled to all the initial quarterly shipments too which would be a bad contract for STXN. Shipping more product to realize less revenue is dumb unless this was a one time dumping of obsolete (legacy) equipment that was only going to be written off and scrapped during this fiscal year end quarter. Still, I would not have cratered my quarterly revenue, margins and contract terms by dumping. I would have written off the equipment and then kept it in inventory at zero value, using it during the new year for highly profitable one-off deals involving withdrawn from marketing legacy products.
This totally takes away the focus on Eclipse for this quarter. Eclipse won't have this problem for a few years because many of its upgrades are microcode implementations. Storing CDs is easy. I guess that is the good news.
