Just sell now and apologize later.
Actually there's a new kid on the block - they are already #1 in Europe and most likely give Dell a hard time in the fastest growing markets (Asia);
it's their backyard anyway and it's easier to copy a dell business model

Huang Kung Tien, Taipei; Jessie Shen, DigiTimes.com [Monday 11 April 2005]

Acer posted consolidated revenues of NT$23.959 billion last month, up 20.8% sequentially and 22.2% on year, buoyed by success in China and the US. However, BenQ's March consolidated revenues of NT$11.8 billion were down on year.

In March, Acer hit record revenues for its China and US operations, according to the company. The vendor stated it enjoyed on-year sales growth of 44.4% in China and 146.6% in the US.

BenQ experienced an on-year drop in its consolidated revenues for both March and the first quarter, according to company spokesperson Alex Liu. Decreasing panel prices affected the average selling price (ASP) of the company's LCD monitors, despite record high shipments, said Liu. BenQ shipped 800,000 LCD monitors in the first quarter, Liu stated

BenQ also gained less OEM orders from customers as the company entered the traditional slow season, especially for handsets, Liu explained.
