Compared to the Columbines and 30,000 gun deaths a year in America, how many NRA members have actually saved lives using a gun by killing a criminal before he kills someone innocent? Can you think of any examples? I frankly cannot remember a single news story about an NRA member killing a criminal and saving a life. However, it seems lioke every week we have another tragic massacre of psycho shooting, BY an NRA member or his kid or someone he sold a gun to. This is why we all ought to take everything the NRA says with a giant grain of salt, and also look at their politics. Many of them are rightwing militia members, akin to white supremicists. So are those really the people we want to defend gun-ownerhsip rights for? I think not. Real responsible common sense gun owners don't need the NRA. The NRA is for fanatics.
