Samsung and AMD Reiterations Helping To Delay Bear Case Even Further -- Bear Stearns

Firm finds Samsung's reiteration particularly encouraging as the Bears have remained focused on an imminent collapse in memory spending to support their viewpoint. While pricing has declined, firm believes supply/demand dynamics remain fairly healthy, that projects are still tracking or better (Samsung has pulled in Line 14 - Phase 2 for NAND) and that steady spending out of this segment can continue. Overall, firm continues to expect order guidance from front-end suppliers to point to an up June-Q and that a return in spending from the foundries could lead to substantial improvement for the second half. Thus, firm thinks the risk/reward in these names is quite attractive at these levels with improving fundamentals. AMAT (-0.15) and NVLS (-0.50) still represent firm's top large-cap picks and MTSN (-0.05) its top small-cap.

OT: I'm watching CAMD. I am not suggesting anyone buy it yet. I think the stock trades back near previous cycle lows. Perhaps near 3 it would be an excellent risk to reward candidate.
