I don't believe you. Sounds like one line taken out of context. Diane Feinstein is not a liberal. However she used to been mayor of San Francisco and mayors do have reason to be much more concerned about weapons proliferation. The timing's also important. If it was 30-40 years ago, that's a huge difference. Especially during the period of anti-war violence or riots after the MLK assassination.
