I took the full blown Meyers-Briggs test in 1991. Many many questions. I got an INTP, 31,25,1,11 preference scores. This type is extremely rare, which does not surprise me at all. My score on thinking (1, inconclusive) is right on target, I believe.

If I were to score myself on those standards, I would have given myself a much higher preference on P (Perceiving) because I am a terrible planner and like to keep my options open and act spontaneously. I guess the test picked up that I do a lot of planning in my head, so it appears to others (principally my wife) that I don't plan at all.

I'm a great admirer of people who are able to serve well in the military, but I don't believe I would do well myself. I think they are probably well over on the ESTJ side.
