Dow threatens 3-session triple-digit loss streak By Tomi Kilgore
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- The Dow industrials ($INDU: news, chart, profile) were last down 109 points at 10,170, and were in danger of suffering their third straight triple-digit loss in over 2 years. The Dow has now lost 337 points since Tuesday's close, including a 104-point loss on Wednesday and a 125-point drop on Thursday. If the Dow closed at its current level, it would mark the worst 3-session performance since Mar. 8, 2004 to Mar. 11, when the Dow dropped 401 points (it had dropped 320 points from May 5, 2004 to May 10). The last time the Dow dropped at least 100 points in 3 straight sessions was Jan. 20, 2003 (down 111 points), Jan. 22 (down 144 points) and Jan. 23 (down 124 points).
