Etchmeister, fair questions. Some months back I analyzed
the historical BTB data provided by Gottfried. I was trying
to determine the average high and low BTB expectations
for the semi-cyle...the median low was right around .80 BTB
with some significant undershoots in really bad years. IMO,
if the BTB drops below .80 then anything under that represents a buying opportunity because it is indicating the
low area of the semi equipment purchase cycle. It was for
reference only. You are correct, one could wait for the data and buy then... I just wanted some reference gauge.
