I will say one thing. For my own money? I don't like to trade against the primary trend (which is now hard to the downside) unless and until there's strong evidence of a bottom. That kind of confirming evidence means I will always miss the absolute lows. And for my money? It's well worth paying a higher price (to simply buy early in the uptrend) in exchange for a better risk/reward ratio on the buy.

Longevity in this biz is all about managing and limiting risk. Trying to nail the absolute lo may be an attention getter. But it's not the best way to manage risk by accepting a higher entry price because the odds of making a profit strongly favor you.
