NOW WAIT A DAMNED SECOND!!!!

You can have free speech with AS and the fish. Or you can have quality."

Since when are SI message boards about free speech? IMO, they
are not unless the thread subject matter specifically states
it is about free speech.

Every thread is created to discuss certain topics. Every
thread creator has the right to stipulate what is & is NOT on
topic. And they can establish guidelines that they want
followed on their threads.

Moderated threads are allowed to remove people who do not
consistently post on topic or who do not abide by established
thread guidelines.

How many of us have left threads because they became over run
with Yahoos who completely ruined a thread? Who wants to wade
through hundreds of BS, inane & slanderous (ET AL) OFF TOPIC
posts, most of which are in violation of established thread
standards to get to posts that are ON TOPIC?

I say if a person cannot or will not abide by thread
guidelines, there should be absolutely no problem banning
them permanently after they have been adequately warned, then
temporarily suspended a couple of times.

And anyone who thinks the above violates any form of free
speech simply does not understand what free speech is about.
