I don't have problem with the "Buy and hold" folks. Long term Dell will do well but these down drafts can do as much damage as the upward moves. Why not try to reduce the losses?

However, sometimes a smart investor needs to "get out of the way" of a down market and at times that means selling out of stocks that aren't defensive.

It isn't disloyal to put your own financial interests first.
