If the Renminbi is floated how does the US equity market react? I could see arguments both way.

You are asking the wrong question

This is the REAL question:
If the RMB is floated how long does it stay positive vs the US$?

Is there anyone on the planet that thinks the US$ rises vs it?
Will EVERYONE be right?

I think there would be an initial pouring into the RMB then it would crash
