No. Those factories built by the Chinese Communist Party are everything but sweatshops! They have BETTER benefit than the Unionized GE or GM workers. Go visit them yourself, although many are closed there are still plenty left, like Bao Steel.

The sweatshops I am referring to are those built after 1978 (the so-called Open Door policy) by using Western capital and owned (mostly) by the Capitalists from overseas.

Only in Shenzhen, every single year, there are >20,000 sweatshop workers broke their legs/arms, or even lost their lives. And they or their family members got little or no compensation whatsoever.
