I'm not dropping the NRA subject, that organization needs to be exposed. It is far too powerful for its numbers (like the religious right, another group of unholy wolves in sheep's clothing), and it's also a corporate lobbyist group and extremist group posing as a citizens group. Not that there aren't some nice people in the NRA out of the 2-3 million, including innocent hunters and safety-conscious types, but at its core it's a lobby for the gun manufacturers (the more they sell the better regardless of gun deaths) and the extremist militia and white supremicist types who inhabit its inner core hiding under sheets. I still laugh at the story the NRA put out about how they once armed blacks to defend themselves against the KKK. What a hoot. And what BS. Talk about revisionist history. The problem is, few people ever stand up to these bullies. What we need is The Brady Bill and moderate safety measures for guns, including new "smart" technology. And no assault rifles.
