Which was also my point about large groups. They by their nature have more information because of their size, not because of their makeup or motivation. If you add up the number of facts that can be confidently stated by the members of a large group it will be higher than the number of facts that can be confidently stated by a single individual, but that doesn't mean a committee or any other large group necessarily has better information that the individuals who are directly dealing with the issues. And it bears repeating that while he market isn't made up of one individual but its ability to operate efficiently is maximized by maximizing individual freedom to operate in the market. Tim
