Shack, I know you stand back and probably don't do as many minuets as I do; but is this the reason you are saying you don't care about the 5 waves w/r to the rule violations ... i.e. that longterm the index is screwed up?

I get essentially the same count on the GOX as I do on the XAU ... have no idea of the GOX history.

Can you get a clean 5 wave count on either of those to the last big top w/o violations on the dailies, and w/o leaving out some smaller degree moves? I'd like to know and see it if you can. It would be interesting to see.

Not trying to badger you I just feel that if you are going to EW this you have to abide by the rules with the minor waves all the way through. And ... if you can abide by the rules and get the 5 waves I'd sure like to see the count. It would furnish me with something I have not been able to see.

If you can not abide by the rules than I have a hard time understanding how you can take a strong position with a count that has rule violations. I do agree with you that one should be flexible and bend the rules some. At least I think I have observed you do this.

If the XAU/HUI/GOX have not done 5 waves up, then this correction is not likely to correct back to a big fib. That answers your question to me as to why I found it hard to imagine along with Mr. Burk. I found the 5 wave count with rule violations hard to live with. If the 5 waves up for a primary is real, then I agree it corrects to a larger fib than it has, more likely than not.
