Those at 18 should be responsible for themselves, but let's get real, and see just how many of them are Whether or not they actually are responsible is entirely different from the expectation that they BE responsible. My uncle lived with my grandparents until he was in his 40s. But society still expects him to live up to his obligations. We have to draw the line somewhere, and we draw the line at 18.
