The printing and arrival of the newspapers is important, as well. The larger eastern newspapers are delivered in the morning. Many in the east ride a train or sub way to work in the morning, so have time to read while someone else does the 'driving to work'...

Many other papers in the mid-west and west converted to the morning delivery. Most of these areas do NOT have trains or subways. So, many of these papers aren't read until evening.

Think about that for a minute.

The newspapers take the news from the day before. It arrives in the AM. It is read in the PM.

By this time, the so called news is nearly 40-48 hours old.

On internet, we can get our news fix from around the world immediately. And we certainly can get the news from the radio and TV right away.

The newspapers have to deliver something else more important than they have been delivering.

Integrity would be a good start. Factual, NON BIASED news would be another "fresh new idea." Actual news, and not opinion passing as news would be another.

And serious investigative reporting would be invaluable.
