Rightwing capitalists posing as pious Christians are all hypocrites. I'm no devout Christian, but my father was, and have known many people who are, so I know what it means.

The trap the rightwing falls into by attacking liberals as "evil" or wrong is that liberalism is far closer to the teachings of Christ. And no I'm not talking about gay rights but basic liberalism which is about sharing, compassion, openness and tolerance.

The rightwing always uses the Lord's name (often in vain) and quotes or mis-quotes scripture, including the wackiest most irrational scriptures like Revelations, but they will never admit that in teaming up with the big corporate special interests, war-mongers and political dirty tricksters they have committed a major sin. They also sin when they systematically hate other faiths and races, including those who chose to have little or no faith at all.

Jesus was about selfless love, peace and (extreme) charity. He was not about hate, war or profiteering. So the worst of the worst are those evangelical types who deliberate deceive and profit from the Lord's name, promote wars and division, and pocket the proceeds (tax-free) themselves. Those types pop up often amongst the leaders of the evangelical movement. We saw some of them in display outside Schiavo's hospice.

I would also say Christ would abhore pollutors. The current rightwing is squarely in the pollutors camp.
