Even if the Dems are being outrageous in their objections, the statesmanlike response must still be to give them some candidates they will approve and fill the damn vacancies with people of your liking that don't stick out like sore thumbs.

The ones being picked are mainstream by most standards. Enough that they are approved by the left-leaning Lawyer's asssociation. When they came up for conformation, the Dems points were really nit-picks.

The Dems have painted themselves into a corner now. They won't approve anything now but a flaming liberal.

The other point is "why in the hell should they be allowed to enforce a "super-majority" vote on the Senate?" The Constitution lays out the issues they want a super-majority on, and this isn't one of them.
