False premise, Karen. I would fire the people who were giving me this much trouble if I ran a company. You have obviously changed your position on this, and I think I will "fork in the road" on it from now on with you.

If you look at the world throught partisan-colored glasses--a big partisan tug of war, that makes perfect sense. But if you are focused on good governance, it's a dangerous distraction.

I don't see every issue as being a partisan tug of war. I certainly don't see that every issue should be a partisan tug of war, however "good governance", isn't just about competence, ideas matter as well. Also the ideas that matter are not always uncontroversial.
