Raymond, You share, along with two of my cousins and a number of other lefties I know some very strong common opinions. One is the belief that the American mass man (know affectionately in the BBR as J6P) is an ignorant, ill educated lout and also that there is vast insufficency of "democracy" in the US. So, you would apparently "re-educate" J6P and then hopefully he would emerge in a burst of democratic fevor and put in office politicians you favor. Raymond, that is just not possible and let me tell you why. As J6P is far too old to be sent back to grade school you will have to conduct your indoctornation/reeducation effort through the existing media so you would need to replace the existing mainstream "liberal" media with something that would resemble Amy Goodman's "Democracy Now" with some of Michael Moore's efforts thrown in for entertainment. You could make J6P sit in front of his TV and be harrangued by Noam Chomsky for hours on end. Jimmy Carter would be glad to help in the effort and could scold the viewer about the Gueina worm or malaria mosquitos in Africa, telling J6P that this was all his fault. Within hours J6P mobs with pitchforks would roaming the streets looking for the Television Station. Amy Goodman would wind up like Rosa Luxembourg. It wouldn't work, Raymond. In fact, I really believe that "Air America" and "Democracy Now" are winning vast numbers of new right wing converts daily. I know lots of people, that until they listend to Al Franken or saw some of the rubbish on Amy's show had NO IDEA that there was actually a political movemeent that dangerous here in the country.
