We have no idea what God wants, or is, or anything about God. God is a name for the great unknown.

Now Jesus is a historical figure (sort of). So he and his message we can discuss with some degree of realism. However, I very much doubt Jesus (or anyone else) physically rose from the dead.

On the other hand, I almost died once, and I can tell you, there may indeed be some kind of after life. Because I saw it. But it had nothing to do with any religion, any ego, anything on earth at all. It was way above all that. It was also very comforting. I no longer fear death that much. Nor should anyone else. The fear of death is mainly a survival mechanism in the psyche related to the ego. The ego's job is to survive and beat off competition. In the end, the ego means nothing.
