I anticipated your response.

The energy cost of producing solar cells is a one-time event.

The cost of producing corn goes on year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year ...

What about those poisonous materials? I anticipated that also. Corn requires huge amounts of nitrogen. I mean HUGE. The natural amount of nitrogen in the soil will be depleted by corn in less than one year. Try growing corn without nitrogen supplements and you will have stunted stalks and yellowish leaves and very low yields. The nitrogen of choice by farmers worldwide comes from nitrates. You do the research on nitrate contamination of the soil. Or do you need me to tell you about that too.
