I know thousands of companies and churches across the country collected money for the effort. If a tsunami hit the US, I don't know how much disaster relief from other countries we would get.

We are the most generous people in the history of the world. We should be proud of our generosity. I may not be as generous as some, but I am aware of no years in which I did not donate more to charity than say the last two Democrat candidates for President.
