" so why the heck is AMD simply stirring the pot a bit, they should be trying to insure that their good NOR tech finds a reasonable home that can do something with it. No idea what you mean by stirring the pot. AMD, in consultation with its underwriters has determined that the IPO is the way to go in the best interests of AMD shareholders. If there is a better way to mitigate flash risk, I'm certain that AMD, in consultation with its underwriters, would be moving in that direction.
