speaking of 'deficits.'

I'm thinking about incorporating my dog. She doesn't eat very much and she has a really small mouth. She grunts a lot. but i guess the important thing is i could write off my carpet cleaning and dry cleaning expenses. my dog is a legitimate business you know. she helps keep me sane and talks to me when nobody else will talk to me. She is vital to my success through the independent contractor agreement that we have. force majure and all that good stuff. anyway. she legitimately makes a profit with the 15,000 start up costs and investment windfall from buying all those houses and flipping them. when she barks three times it's time to sell. anyway. i just thought u'd like to know being an accountant and all.

>>>> To answer your question, when people operate at a deficit, they eventually go bankrupt.

Some do, most don't. Most people operating at a deficit get things straightened out, then pay down the deficit. For example, most people who buy a house are "operating at a deficit" in the year they buy the house. Without debt, they simply couldn't do it. I suspect that most people buying cars are in the same situation.

I am talking about when people spend more than their income for an extended period time as the US has been doing. If that goes on indefinitely, nearly all end up in bankruptcy. Of course you know that....deficit-creating spending is never wise whether its an individual or a nation........even when its the GOP who is responsible.
