Liar. Speaker Armey specifically said that if Clinton's tax policies were to go into effect we'd have a DEPRESSION and he would not be held accountable. That was in 1993.

Six years later we'd enjoyed 5 years of the finest US economy in history. Speaker Armey was against what worked and so was Gingrich. The rightwing simply lies about this, just as they lie that Reagan's tax cuts created great revenues. Reagan left office with a HUGE deficit and the S+L debacle. Which is why Bush Sr. was forced to raise taxes, and Clinton too. To mpay off the Reagan deficits. How many presidents will have to raise taxes to pay off the Bush deficits. They are much-much bigger than Reagan's.

Clinton wasn't forced to balance the budget by the GOP, he lost the congress by making tough choices on taxes.

Gingrich shut down the government to try and stop Clinton's mature responsible choices. Dick Armey p[redicted CLinton would cause not a recession, but a DEPRESSION. They were just plain wrong.

Clinton was more than happy to compromise and work with conservatives just as Kerry would have been. He even appointed Republicans to his cabinet. We see no such willingness to work WITH people in this admninistration. Anyone who disagrees with them, they try to destroy with packs of lies.
