I once sailed with a buddy from Pt. Townsend to Victoria, which you know is a major shipping lane, in pea soup fog and he didn't have radar yet.

I didn't care for it at all.

I just got a new toy, an XM satellite radio. I like it a lot so far. I've just been using it like a walkman, clipped on my belt, but it looks fairly easy to get it connected to both car and home stereos.

dozens and dozens of music stations with very clean sound, no commercials....CNN, ABC, BBC, Public radio, comedy..oh, and 3 NASCAR channels...why they need 3 channels dedicated to NASCAR racing,I don't quite get, but they're there..
