Follow up...It appears they understand the concept of CYA. 08:44 BofA raises their equity weighting to 60% from 55%

Banc of America raises their equity weighting to 60% from 55% and their TIPS exposure to 15% from 10%, and reduces their cash weighting to 25% from 35%. Firm says this move is the first increase in their stock weighting in more than two years, and it may not be the last of 2005. Firm believes that Friday's selloff was the best opportunity to buy stocks in a year, but they still recommend below-average equity exposure (their normal is 65%), and they do not rule out further reductions if conditions worsen. Finally, optimistic sentiment is giving way to concern that 2005 may have more negative surprises in store, but firm has not yet seen signs of widespread problems, and they trust that earnings will not plummet, and valuations have improved modestly.
