Why do you think that the average Japanese should care? It's ancient history as far as the average Japanese is concerned. How much money has Japan given China - hint, it's something like $35 billion? How many times have various Japanese apologized for the militaristic attacks and viciousness? Get over it Bubba. Unless you can catch the individuals who did vicious things, you might as well just forget about it. All over the world vicious things were done in the past. Even in China, there are plenty of living victims of Mao's Maelstrom but they aren't being compensated. A young Japanese person in Shanghai has got nothing whatsoever to do with Nanjing cruelty. Attacking them shows the vicious and stupid nature of those involved in attacking Japan's embassy, Japanese businesses [or those with Japanese writing on them], or Japanese people. I'm a lot more worried about those young, live, vicious, stupid, jingoistic, megalomaniac and violent Chinese males than a million long-dead vicious, stupid, jingoistic and megalomaniac, violent Japanese soldiers. But if you want to, let's all choose sides, as they did in WWI, re-arm, stop doing useful things to promote peace, light, harmony, happiness, health, prosperity, longevity, fun and love, and get ready to repeat the slogan "Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat this cliche". The GG [Good Guys] in the fight will be: USA Japan Taiwan New Zealand Australia South Korea UK and NATO Euros India Ukraine Georgia Afghanistan etc The BB [Bad Boys], in the fight will be: China Russia North Korea Syria Yiwu the Mad Bubba the Babbling Hmmm, I can't think of any more just now but maybe there are some. Oh yes, Cuba Venezuela South Africa Zimbabwe Iran [I forgot them...silly me] This should be a jolly good war. WWIII, begun by Osama's 911 attack. Another war to end all wars. The casualty list should be enormous. With 6 billion people available to convert to CO2, the WWII efforts should look trivial. If H5N1 gets going at the same time, wheeeee..... Let the Feather Duster manoeuvres begin. Bring it on. Mqurice
