Just Machiavellian, isn't it? Poor William Raspberry. He and his fellow liberal columnists have seen their media world exposed the last few years. I suspect one of the reasons the NYT has gone so "over the top" in their defense of the left is the pressure caused by the fact that they are not able control the frame and slant as much anymore. Fox is a pipsqueak in the total news flow, but their presence in the mix is forcing the MSM to cover things they would just as soon leave buried.
