I don't know. I assume that you mean adjusts them so that official inflation is lower than real inflation. I have seen several agreement going both ways on the adjustments and their validity.

I get The Financial Times (which I highly recommend), but I don't think that I have seen any articles about the UK inflation measure. I might Google the issue tonight. I'll let you know if I see anything.

Let us know how Lunesta works for you. The studies seem to say that it is pretty good for sleep maintenance, with few real next-day effects. Just drink some orange juice in the morning.

Not as badly, but I think they redefined the measure fairly recently in a manner more likely to be helpful to the govt. than anyone else...

Some talk at the moment of issuing a 50 year (!) linker, which would be an interesting concept.
