I sure hope so. I guess we'll find out Thursday. A 68W TDP for DC 2.2GHz Opterons sure would be nice.

That would put 2-socket DC Opteron power consumption at the same level as 1-socket single core Xeon consumption (incl memory controller) !! 4 AMD cores for the same power as 1 Intel core. And about 3-3.5 TIMES the performance.

Looks like it is (2) a 275 HE dual core Opteron.

Still pretty nice, wouldn't you say?

I guess the Inq mentioned this way back and I didn't pay enough attention.

Having an "HE" part at the top speed-bin is great.
