Much like another friend of mine, by father and mother stayed together until the death of my mother. Her death was premature. They taught me the traditional values decried by Democrats and the FMSM. I was taught to tell the truth, treat people with respect, work hard, give people encouragement. One of the core principles that has guided my family over the generations has been noblesse oblige. Those who have the means have an obligation to provide those less fortunate with the opportunity to support themselves. This does not imply an obligation to support those who choose to waive their right to support themselves. This stands in stark contrast to the DemoLibs who want government to ensure equal outcomes with unequal inputs.
