"Can you find one post anywhere on SI, or one editorial or op-ed piece anywhere"

Abortion has a long history on the Internet. So does creationism...

Way back in the mists of time(umm, 20 years ago I guess) on net.abortion, the common argument was "the potential for human life" was where you draw the line. When it was pointed out exactly how dumb that one was, they moved on to a fertilized ovum. When it was pointed out that one of the mechanisms for how the so called mini-pill works is to prevent a fertilized ovum from implanting(my contribution to the discussion), they first doubted the veracity of it and then shut up for a while. I don't have a link, not all of the tapes from that era still exist. Sadly, the only one of my posts from that era that survives is a post to net.humor...

As far as the violinist argument, you are conveniently ignoring the fact that birth control methods can fail. Birth control pills are pretty effective, but even if they are taken as they should be, they have a failure rate. But some women can't tolerate them very well. Other methods are less effective, even when used properly, which they often aren't. Sure, you could argue that abstinence is solution, but that ignores human nature.

do you outlaw male masturbation? Or forcebly impregnate ovulating women who aren't planning on conceiving?

Can you find one post anywhere on SI, or one editorial or op-ed piece anywhere, or one official statement by any political party that seriously endorses either of these ideas?

You wake up in the morning and find yourself back to back in bed with an unconscious violinist (who) has been found to have a fatal kidney ailment ... the Society of Music Lovers ... kidnapped you, and last night the violinist's circulatory system was plugged into yours, so your kidneys can be used to extract poisons from his blood as well as your own ... To unplug would be to kill him. But never mind, it's only for nine months.

If the argument applies to abortion at all it only applies in cases of rape.

The argument he is making is the one related to the right to privacy to do what we want to our own bodies. The right you so studiously ignore even though you are libertarian or so you claim.
