Conservatives aren't generous. They stand for cutting social programs to the bone, starting with the programs for the most needy. They are also against most help to poor countries. Look at their first response to the Tsunami. 12 million bucks. It wasn't until public opinion was that Bush was insensitive that he upped the aid.

Conservatives have a long history of creating more poverty and less health care when they are in power. That's just the facts. Ther rich get richer and the poor poorer.

Maybe they give more to churches, but some of those churches are political machines which are very selective about their compassion.

The most generous philanthropist in the country is Ted Turner.

American conservatives are the most generous people in the world. It stems from their core values. One must make their own way, but they are obligated to give others the opportunity to help themselves.
