I don't see much disadvantage compared to internal lens divisions. Agreed! Morningstar and other independent research suppliers are all benefitting from the consent decrees all the brokerages signed with Elliot Spitzer calling for them to provide independent research to their clients. But that doesn't make the research good necessarily. Nevertheless, I find them refreshing. My trial sub ends today or tomorrow. But I have decided to try it for a little longer, so I will subscribe.
