I'm not willing to go that far... that's a bit of a leap. I'm pretty sure most (if not all of the people) in the early Old Testament never existed... the books about them were written thousands of years after they were supposed to have lived. In Jesus's case, some of the books were written very shortly after (I don't think anyone disputes this), and the authors appear to have been old enough to have actually personally known Jesus. Not that it means anything to me theologically, but historically...


If you read through the links provided by Steve, all the authors who discussed Jesus were born after he died. Their references to him are based on hearsay. That's why I seriously question whether he lived or if he did, he performed all the miracles claimed.
