DDB,

Thanks for the link. Is there an official statement on the die size?

Joe

DDB,

I noticed on Tom's, they say the die size of dual Opteron is around 190mm^2. 130nm Opteron is 193mm^2, meaning that when yield on 90nm matches 130nm, AMD will have absolutely no problem in substituting dual core Opteron for single core Opteron, with a side benefit of being able to salvage some die where 1 core may be bad.
