Ted, Was that written by John or is it fabrication or hearsay? Did John exactly exist? Are there tax records or a birth date?

Maybe you'd like to prove your own existence by providing your tax records, or at least a birth date.

A SSN would be just dandy ... ;-)

The thing is I can do that......so can you. Why can't Jesus or John the Baptist? Of course, the obvious reason is that it was the antiquities.......they didn't keep records then. Except they did....after all, the story behind the alleged birth of Jesus was that his parents had to go pay their taxes......every one did. In fact, so many did that Bethlehem hotels were maxed out. Clearly, people didn't blow off paying their taxes....so apparently, there were records of who owed what and where they lived. So it would seem there should be some written record of JC's and John's existence. And yet, there isn't any.

And the deal breaker.......Nazareth didn't even exist then or if it did, it was such a podunk it wasn't on any maps....which is contrary to what has been said later about the place.

Seriously, I have found religion disappointing in the past but this one takes the cake.
