why would they need to? I can not believe that intel is capacity constrained and otherwise, to my (limited) best understanding, there is not that much advantage in 65 over 90 ......

Obviously Intel has only one thing in mind. To destroy AMD. All Intel's actions should be viewed in that light. You should know that aLbErT.

Sure there is. Dice get smaller, and margins go up. Hence, Intel raises margin guidance for 2005.

Albert - maybe the rush to 65nm is power consumption driven.
